• Health Professionals Encourage Importance of Lead Testing Amid Recall

The CDC is recommending re-testing for certain individuals that were tested from a specific time frame due to inaccuracy in results. Read more here to see more information.

Every child, 6 years of age and younger, should be tested annually for Lead. We encourage parents and pregnant women to talk specifically with their health care providers to see if they need to be re-tested.

The St. Joseph County does offer Lead testing for children, 6 and younger, and pregnant women. For more information, please call (574) 235-9350.
